A Prayer for the Holidays

A friend of mine shared this with me.  Thought you'd like it, too..............

Lord, help me prepare for the holiday season this year without turning it into a long laundry list of obligations, deadlines and expectations.  May I never forget that all my plans are just so much dust unless they are rooted in your will.  Remind me that you have already come, and that in the fullness of time, your Kingdom will be revealed.  As these days of preparation and celebration unfold, keep me alert to your presence.  Make me aware of the chances I have to bring your love to those around me, especially those most in need.  Amen.

Yep, I'll be praying it every.  single.  day.
