A Little Bit of This and a Whole Lotta Speaking Ofs.....

1.  Thanks you so much for all the kind comments on how happy we all looked in our Disney pictures.  It truly is the "happiest place on earth".... and I guess our faces just showed it.  Yes, we had her picture taken with her picture there for all of eternity.... well, until they take those down which I hope is not in our lifetimes..... it's just pretty cool having it there.

2.  Speaking of pictures, I don't have a photo for our Christmas card yet... but there's still lots of time.  I do have the layout of the card all set on my computer, I just need a photo so I'm not wigging out or anything about it.

3.  Speaking of not wigging out, I feel sooo good having all of the extended family Christmas shopping done.  Elizabeth and Steve will just fall into place, as usual.  I'm so relaxed and working on my heart this year.

4.  With being out of town last week, I haven't pulled any Christmas decor out yet and my Advent wreath looks pathetic right now.  I have my candles in the holders but it's been raining so I haven't snuck down the street to "steal" some greenery for it yet.  Here's the post where I talk about how I make it.  But the greenery isn't the important part.... it's the devotion that is read and prayers that are said while the candles are lit, right?  Maybe today I will brave the cold to go cut some juniper........ shhhhh, don't tell anyone!

5.  I've been busy the past couple of days working on my Christmas CD.... listening to music, deciding on if it flows right, buying new music...... oh, it's just been crazy.  What's your suggestion? Do you have a favorite?  Let me know!  And you know I'll do a giveaway of a couple, too, right?  Stay tuned.......

6.  Speaking of Christmas music, this morning on the way to school, The Christmas Song came on.... Nat King Cole's version..... it's Christmas PERFECTION, I tell ya!  I turned to Elizabeth and asked her if she knew who was singing.  She responded with a blank stare.  So, I told her she MUST always recognize the voices of Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Mathis and Karen Carpenter when it comes to Christmas songs.  They are the CLASSICS.  She rolled her eyes at me.  I'm sure when we get home from school today she will be racing up to her room to YouTube these people.  Right?  She's going to realize the importance of this, don't ya think?  Hello?  Are you hitting YouTube, too?  Hello?  Anyone still here?

7.  I'm pondering pulling the Christmas decor out of the attic tonight........ maybe get the mantle done?  We usually get the tree this week, I'm not sure I'm ready, but maybe I am..... I can't decide.  Don't you love that nativity above?  We have it at church.... I wish I had it at home, too.  When do you decorate?  Get your tree?

We usually decorate Thanksgiving weekend...it's usually the only free time we have between soccer and Christmas get togethers. We'll probably get our tree next weekend...any sooner and the poor thing will be dead before Christmas.

decorations are up, tree is not. I have a photo for the Christmas card, but I am seriously thinking about skipping cards this year. Need to get out my Christmas CDs to play in the car ;-)

Decorations are up, and tree is nearly finished (will be through tonight). Taking Christmas card photos this weekend and hopefully starting wrapping some stuff.

I'm not sure I could have answered the "who is singing this" question either, even though I've heard the song a thousand times. I can't ever put a name of a singer/band with a song, or get the actual name of the song right either (even though I might know all the words!). Hubby on the other hand can also tell you when it was recorded and probably the name of the album it is on!

Loved all the Disney pics!

My tree is up and decorated...but not because I'm all excited...only because we have something dance related going on every free minute until Christmas. Sad, but true.
