Happy Monday! Well, Monday night... I was busy all day at work.
How was your weekend? Mine? BUSY!
We got to drive over an hour (both ways) for a soccer tournament twice this weekend..... once on Saturday and once on Sunday. Thank goodness for that extra hour of sleep.... it sure helped when the alarm went off at 4:30 on Sunday morning because Elizabeth's game was at 8am... meaning we had to be there for warm ups at 7:15.... meaning we had to leave the house by 5:45.
Look at this awesome over-head kick.......
.... when it happened, I was all like Whoa! That's my girl! Sadly, the ball had hit out of bounds before the kick. How she did this, I have no idea.
Did I mention Steve and I had to be ready for Mass before we left at 5:45 that morning, too? Well, Elizabeth had Rite of Welcoming at our 11:30 Mass.... yep, the pedal was hitting the metal on the way home, but we made it! Home just in time for a quick shower, brushing the hair and getting dressed. Oh, the joys.
By the time we got home from Mass and lunch, I was exhausted... at 2 in the afternoon. So, I just laid on the sofa and tuned into the Women's Soccer SEC Championship game on tv.... Auburn vs. Florida..... Auburn won! War Eagle, y'all! On to the NCAA Tournament! Elizabeth couldn't stand to watch. I told her that's how we are when she's playing. Sometimes your nerves get the best of ya.
And I know you can't see it really well in the picture above, but the trees were amazing around the field... and the lake was so pretty.
Speaking of beautiful trees, I walked to the school building today and was greeted with these.....
Gorgeous, right? I hate that next week the leaves will most likely be gone.... so, I will enjoy the view each and every day this week.
And I love it when I find notes like this in my office......
I just had to snap a photo of it. Elizabeth's friends are the best.... they don't know how much they will miss me next year, I tell ya!
When we got home this afternoon, Elizabeth decided to do her homework here.......

I am so impressed with that kick and that you caught it on film, er, digital. That tree is gorgeous. The colors here are gorgeous, but in days they will be sad and depressing and bare. Boo.
That kick is off the hook {do kids still say that?} Anyway, loving the fall color and what sweet note to suprise you at the office. Little things can add up to a lot of joys.
